Last week I came across a blog called Dutch goes the Photo! , where a very interesting movement is happening: the Tuesday Photo Challenge! Every week, Dutch sets a theme and if you want to be a part of the challenge, you just have to write a post on your blog with the image related to the weekly topic and tag it with “fpj-photo-challenge” (as well as pinging back the link to the Dutch blog). If you would like to understand it a little bit better – and who knows? Maybe entering as well, check out the rules.
This week’s challenge is already #72, but it’s the first on my blog! The theme is Blue, and I decided to share with you a photo that I took in London back in 2014, when I was visiting friends. It was a beautiful and sunny summer day, as rare as they may seem on that place!
My favorite kind of photograph (to take, not to admire per say) is the one that focus on details, almost to the point where you cannot tell what’s the object or model. In this case, I took this picture because when I cross bellow this structure, it reminded me of a bycicle wheel, when it’s actually the London Eye. It’s very appealing to me these games of colour and shapes that confuse your mind.
I think this is a very good way to show your work, share it with people with the same passion and maybe to motivate you to photograph more!
Don’t forget to check out Dutch’s blog.
What do you think of photo challenges? Let me know in the comments bellow!
See you soon*
