2017 EMMY Awards – The Unexpected Looks

Hello Everyone!

After the Best and Worst looks of last night’s 69º Emmy Awards, here it comes: the most original, unexpected and out of the box looks.

Let’s start the show!

The Mirror Ball Trend

On the top, there are the best mirror ball looks. First with Anna Chlumsky (the hair is completely off), I don’t like this Sachin & Babi dress but it really looks good on her – the same with, Laverne Cox, fierce and beautiful as always, with a silver metallic Naeem Khan dress

On the bottom, the worst ones. I’m sorry if I’m going to offend some Chanel fans, but this silver sequin and feathered dress the Tracee Ellis Ross wore is horrendous. Then we have Susan Kelechi Watson wearing a Cristina Ottaviano, which I hate – from the different fabric on the bottom to the line on the bust area.

At last, Sarah Paulson is the winner of the sequin dress! I loved the length, the shoulders and the cut outs! I wouldn’t have the guts to wear it, but I’ll surely be remembering this Carolina Herrera!

Lena Waithe

First, we have to acknowledge the fact that she made History last night: She is the first black woman to win an Emmy for Comedy Writing. I loved this look, one of the best of the night for me!

Millie Bobby Brown

She is the cutest of them all in this princess Calvin Klein dress. The bandana-belt and the shoes made all the diference, and as always, Eleven was the remarkable!

Priyanka Chopra

I have some mixedfeelings about the feathery bottom, but this Balmain is GORGEOUS. Btw, all the pieces on Balmain’s new collection are beautiful. I always expect Priyanka to be stunning and she never disappoints.

Michelle Pfeiffer

This is the kind of look taht yu either love or hate. For me, personally this Oscar de la Renta is beautiful but I understand how the nude top is not for everyone’s taste. But props for Michelle, I wasn’t expecting such a bold design on a woman her age!

Erin Lim

Like Michelle’s look, you can hate it but I love it! Despite all the sequin and embroidery going on, the transparency and the cut sleeve give the dress the freshness that it needed.
