2017 EMMY Awards – Best Red Carpet Looks

Hello Everyone!

Today I’m going to show you the Red Carpet look that stood out the most on last night’s The 69th Primetime Emmy Awards! The live show was transmited by CBS and had Stephen Colbert as the host. I really enjoyed his presentation, although we were all expected the Trump jokes, he did it in a classy and funny way – as well as the jokes about the nominated shows and professionals.

I’m going to divide the looks in three categories: The Worst, The Best and The Out of the Box – when I find a look very original and outstanding but don’t know if I love it or hate it! So this will be a three part post, so stand by for the other categories!

Let’s start the show!

Samira Wiley and Lauren Morelli

I always love Christian Siriano gowns, but these are soooo well fitted and they are such a beautiful couple!

Viola Davis

This Viola-Zac Posen pairing isn’t the first, he had design so many Red Carpet looks for her. Despite this not being on of my favorite Zac Posen design (this photo doesn’t flatter her either) it was good enough for me to find Viola on of the best dressed – I really don’t like that orange but it totally looks beautiful with Viola’s skin.

Leslie Jones

I’m in love with this Siriano dress, but I prefer it closed on the leg, only with the transparency of the skirt.

Julianne Hough

I think this Marchesa was the best dress of the night. I love everything about it, the only critique that I can make – and it doesn’t bother me at all! – is that possibly it can be considered a little too much for the Emmys Red Carpet (maybe more appropriate for the Academy Awards).

Evan Rachel Wood

Well, this Moschino should be on the “Out of the Box” category, but I think is the winning look of the night. It almost feels like a different take on a wedding gown! Loved it, she looks stunning and it was a great design!

At last, I would like to make a recognition of the following looks:

1 – Giuliana Rancic in Monsoori (love the halloweeny feeling of the dress!)

2 – Judith Light in Christian Siriano  (I love this one because I think it could work in all ages and on a more chubby gal as well!)

3 – Yara Shahidi in Prada (very cute)

4 – Louise Roe in ADEAM (I love black, sorry if you find the garments all the same!)

With no disrespect to the gentleman (there’s few suprises when it comes to men’s red carpet looks!), there was a lot of impecable women last night like Nicole Kidman or Yvonne Strahovski, I just didn’t find the gowns original or new “on them”, if you know what I mean.

Don’t forget to stay tunned the rest of the day, where I’m going to post the remaining categories!

See you soon*
